Review: The Promise of Rainbows

The Promise of Rainbows The Promise of Rainbows by Ava Miles
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This has to be the best book Ava has written. I could not believe how powerful the feeling and emotions came across from all the characters. It sure rang true from what I have heard others say of our veterans and if only others could be helped like Jake. I loved every aspect of this story from beginning to end - it is a must read!

Review: Early One Morning

Early One Morning Early One Morning by Aubree Lane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All I have to say is WOW

I could not put this book down. I loved how all the different aspects of the story were presented and it kept me wanting to find out more. What was going to happen to Erika, would Terence be there in the end, would Annie? The book held my interest all the way to the end - you have to read this one. I am about to download book 2, can't wait to see what happens next!

Review: Covert Intents: A Branson Family Novella

Covert Intents: A Branson Family Novella Covert Intents: A Branson Family Novella by Janie Crouch
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Couldn't put it down

I absolutely loved this story. It grabbed my attention from the very beginning. The storyline was not too slow or too fast. It made you think and wonder who and why! I loved the twists and the interaction between Seth and Rachel. Janie Crouch has become one of my favorite authors and can't wait to read more of her books.

Review: Annie's Star Pasta and Chicken Soup

I enjoyed this soup, it had plenty of pasta and chicken bits and it was easy to prepare. I prefer a soup with a little more salt in it, but with saltine crackers it was really good. It seems like a really healthy soup. I will try other flavors by Annie's and am sure they will be just as good.

You can find this and other flavors at http://www.annies.com.

Influenster provided this complimentary product for me to test and review, but all opinions are my own.

Review: Pretty Dead

Pretty Dead Pretty Dead by Anne Frasier
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I've read by this author. It's the type of book that once you start reading you don't want to put it down. I love how you learn more and more about each character as you read and the suspense of trying to figure out why these girls were killed and by whom. There are some side stories that add to the depth of the storyline. I will have to read the previous books in this series and can't wait to read the next one.

I thoroughly loved this book! It had a lot of surprises and had me guessing all the way to the end. I loved how detailed everything was so that you understood how people in that class interacted with one another and what their roles were in that society. I felt like I was a fly on the wall and a part of the story, the detail was so clear. I will definitely read more by Alyssa Maxwell!! A fantastic mystery that will keep your attention!!

Review: Fireflies and Magnolias

Fireflies and Magnolias
Fireflies and Magnolias by Ava Miles

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another FANTASTIC book by Ava! Such a powerful story. I loved how all the characters interacted and I could feel how they felt. This story brings a lot of emotion and depth. There were so many lines that just made me literally laugh out loud (got a lot of strange looks from co-workers) and yet other areas that made me cry. As it is stated, you can read these books as stand alone books, but you will want to read all of them to get to know everyone even better!

Review: Bentley Square

Bentley Square
Bentley Square by Carol Ann Kauffman

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a great book with a great story line. It was very interesting "hearing" each characters thoughts when they saw someone and how they interact with each other. It was amazing when they actually did meet and talk to each other. I really enjoyed the suspense and once I got into the story I couldn't stop reading. The was a lot of detail to each of the scenes so you could almost picture yourself there.

Review: Secret Refuge

Secret Refuge
Secret Refuge by Dana Mentink

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Keeps you on the edge of your seat! I loved this story. I was guessing who the bad guys and who the good guys were from the very beginning. I found that the way this story was written made me feel like I was watching a movie, the detail was great. I had a hard time putting the book down when I had to go back to work because I wanted to know what happened next. Parts of the story had my heart racing, other parts made me cry, and there were lots of parts that made me smile. I can't wait to read more by Dana.

Review: No Mallets Intended

No Mallets Intended
No Mallets Intended by Victoria Hamilton

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was the first book I have read of Victoria Hamilton's and it was amazing. The mystery starts at the very beginning of the book and you are kept guessing who did what and why throughout the whole book. I found myself guessing and then guessing again trying to figure it out. The story made me feel like I was a part of the town, the descriptions of the homes, food and smells were so real! I can't wait to read more from this series and others by Victoria!!

Review: Her Favorite Hot Doc

Her Favorite Hot Doc
Her Favorite Hot Doc by Barbara Lohr

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The love story between McKenna and Logan is captivating. I enjoyed the character development throughout the book. The pace of the story line is exceptional. If you're looking for a romantic you have to pick up the Windy City Romance series!

The Windy City Romance Series by Barbara Lohr had me hooked in the first couple of chapters of book 1, “Her Favorite Mistake”, and carried over and intensified with each of the following books in the series, “Her Favorite Honeymoon” & “Her Favorite Hot Doc”. I loved how dynamic and real life like the story line was throughout the series. I was intrigued by each of the characters in the series: Vanessa, Amy, and McKenna. I also enjoyed seeing them evolve and interact through each of the stories. I like that each book focused on one of the three characters and the other two were secondary characters, it made me feel like I got a chance to find out more in depth of each of the characters. I love how the author develops this series story line and wonder if there will be a fourth book in the series?!?!?!
